Image 1 Artist Statement: Collage comprised of images from various magazines. Background made with acrylic paint. There are three seperate uncommon rituals occuring in this collage. Each involves two parties reacting to each other in weird ways.
Image 2 Artist Statement: Collage created with images from magazines about travel. Drawing portions made with oil pastels. It is an uncommon ritual as it depicts a cyclist competing in a race against a formula 1 car. The background buildings and race aspect reminded my of the Monaco Grand Prix, and that is my inspiration for this collage.
Image 3 Artist Statement: Collage made up of magazine images. Background setting drawn with oil pastels. This portrays an uncommon ritual of a band preforming on a stage, yet the "audience" consists of various animals on the lawn.
Image 4 Artist Statement: Collage from our in class test. Only given 1 magazine to work with, mine was about designer brand products. Only resources I used for this were images from the magazine. These dogs are living an uncommon ritual as they are all wearing designer brand sunglasses.
